Smoother Salon is one of a kind. The entire staff there makes you feel like family. The atmosphere in the salon is inviting and they do incredible work. I have the confidence to wear my hair down after washing that I’ve never had before. Highly recommend this place. And as a person who cares about the products used, I LOVE that they use non-toxic keratin…because formaldehyde, I’m not down with. :)

I 1000% recommend this place! 👏 if you are debating about whether to go or not just go! My only regret was not going sooner. I was debating for months whether I should go, and I am here to save you the time, just go! Kaylie, the owner is wonderful, she is the sweetest and remembered me even months after my treatment. She is very knowledgable, made sure to explain everything to me (the whole process) and took the time to really get to know me and answer any questions. She is the best, make an appointment with her if you can! Immediately when I came in she commented how beautiful my thick hair was, and I cannot describe how life changing that was because of my past experiences at other hair salons. Past hairdressers and stylists always commented how hard it was to cut my hair, manage it when styling because of how thick it was, etc. One of these hairdressers recommended that I try a Brazilian blowout when it first was coming out. I had my first Brazilian blowout at 15 years old, and I loved it!! BUT it really only worked the first time, I paid for multiple sessions and there was really no change after that, my hair when back to its usual hard self. But then I came to smoothed and the keratin treatments that I am receiving have CHANGED my hair. With just the first treatment, my hair was more manageable, smooth, and I did not lose my curls only the frizz that came with it! The treatment lasted around 3-4 months and even after the treatment wore off and “was gone” after that the treatment still reduced the amount of frizz that I had. I have textured hair, some curls on some sides of my hair and some weirdly really straight strands on other parts of my head. I have very thick hair which always has been sooo hard to manage for me and for whoever had to get my haircut. Before the treatment my curls were everywhere, were frizzy, etc. dull, and dry. After the treatment, my hair is shinier, less frizzy, and manageable. And it really stayed like that for MONTHS. It’s such a wonderful experience, I hope one day she can expand to all of California and open a place here in SF. :)

Had the absolute best experience at Smoothed! The whole team was lovely and fully communicated the process and level set expectations. The salon was gorgeous and such a positive environment. I am so pleased with my Keratin treatment and will absolutely be going back for touch ups in the future!

I have been coming to Smoothed for about a year now. This is by far the best experience I have had at a salon, especially for a Keratin treatment. Kaylie and her team are pros when it comes to keratin and finding the right treatment options for each individual person. I highly recommend this salon for anyone continuing or looking to start their Keratin journey!

Kaylie did such an amazing job with both my keratin treatment and haircut! She answered my many many questions and was very accommodating. She made sure I was comfortable with the treatment that I was getting before we selected one. She knows just the right treatment for your hair type. My hair came out SO smooth and with no frizz. The salon is also beautiful and open-air which is always a plus. Definitely recommend and can't wait to go back!

Jay did a great job hooking up the modern mullet for me. Kaylie added some keratin to help manage my curls. Everyone was super friendly loved the vibes of the salon. Great service too they even offered me a coffee or sparkling water when I walked in.

Highly Recommend! Taylor was Fantastic!! I felt comfortable instantly and time flew bye. I have had other Brazilian blowouts for my hair and I couldn’t say it held very well. But I noticed as soon as I left the salon today there was a difference in the product used and love that it’s formaldehyde free!. I noticed right away the sleek soft feel to my hair leaving the salon. And as a frizzy curly hair type, this was amazing! I can’t say how many times I leave a salon with frizzy hair because many salons can’t tame my mane. I also love how Taylor provided options to customize for next treatment based on my hairs needs. Love her! Will definitely be back!

Taylor has done my hair. She did amazing on my hair and other than I loved the time spent there the place was soooo cute and she was also so nice. I cant have my hair more shiny than what it is now.

After having some really negative salon experiences in the past, my visit to Smoothed Salon was such a breath of fresh air. Taylor and Kaylie were both so kind, professional, and easy to be around. They made me feel completely comfortable from the start, even with my super thick and very long hair that usually feels like a chore for stylists. They don’t just offer keratin as a side service; it’s their sole focus, and it shows. They took the time to understand my hair and customized the treatment specifically for my texture and goals. The results are amazing. I’ve truly never felt better about my hair! I left feeling so happy with the results and genuinely cared for throughout the entire appointment. It’s such a relief to have finally found a place where I feel confident and relaxed. I’m already looking forward to coming back later this year!

I have been going to Kailey Since she was at her spot in La Jolla. Yes, she is worth the 20 minute drive 100% you will not find anybody better to straighten your hair with more knowledge on keratin and sitting in her chair the time flies by as she’s a great conversationalist I love seeing her grow her business. Her success is well deserved..

Taylor is amazing!! Love how my hair turned out. She was very thorough in explaining the process, the product, how it was going to change my daily routine and take away the frizz. She was very friendly and sweet. The salon is so cute too. Love all the plants and the open air concept.

I have had a couple keratin treatments done with Taylor and I am obsessed with the results! My hair has become so much more manageable and has transformed over the past few months. See my day 1 before and after and then my transformation 3 months later with that before and after. My hair was stressing me out so much and now I am loving it!
