So heat affects it differently now than it would without keratin in it, and anything you press into it can set.

When we say no heat, we mean a flat iron.

Diffusing is fine after wash day. You’ll get a whole email about that.

Totally normal. It doesn’t mean the treatment failed — it means it worked.

Your curls are trying to revert because your hair wants to be curly. That’s a good sign.

Wash first. These treatments activate immediately, so you can rinse any time.

Told you could leave it seven days, but on day three you want to work out? Wash it, then go.

• Sleep in your bonnet.
• Wrap it in a silk scarf, for sleep or to preserve your press.
• Sleepy tie or heatless curls. Just no heat to restyle.
• If it gets wet by accident — still no heat. Let it revert, then rinse. Not the end of the world.
