Training Smoothologists are completing their first 500 treatments within the SMOOTHED education system. Their investment increases gradually as their repetition, speed and experience grow.

Best for Guests who are comfortable booking a developing specialist at an introductory experience tier.

Established Experience

Established Smoothologist

Established Smoothologists have developed consistent experience across consultations, application, customization, heat work and long-term maintenance.

Best for Guests looking for substantial hands-on experience with a well-established smoothing specialist.

Advanced Experience

Senior Smoothologist

1,000+ completed treatments

Senior Smoothologists bring extensive repetition to complex hair histories, highly customized treatment plans and a broad range of textures and goals.

Best for Guests who prefer our most advanced team experience tier and a stylist with extensive repetition.

Experience can vary by texture category. A Smoothologist may be more established in Type 1–2 hair while continuing to build experience in Type 3–4 hair, or vice versa. The signature SMOOTHED method remains consistent across every tier.

After more than a decade devoted exclusively to smoothing hair and more than 15,000 completed treatments, Kaylie developed the SMOOTHED Smoothing System—a repeatable method designed to deliver consistent results while still being customized for the individual in the chair.

Years of working across nearly every texture, hair history and smoothing goal taught Kaylie that consistent results do not come from repeating the exact same treatment on every guest. They come from following a proven system and knowing precisely where and how to customize it.

Every Smoothologist is trained within that system before working independently behind the chair. Kaylie's goal is not to remain the only person capable of delivering the SMOOTHED experience. It is to build the next generation of smoothing specialists.
