Three Things Worth Knowing First
It’s always a group call
You’ll be on with other people asking their own questions, and you’ll pick up plenty just by listening. Calls usually run thirty minutes to an hour.
Your camera is optional
You only need it on if you want us to actually see your hair. Plenty of people join, stay quiet, and get most of what they came for.
All times are Pacific
We’re in San Diego, so every consult time is listed in Pacific time. Worth double-checking if you’re joining from another time zone.

There is no pressure to book. The goal is that you make an informed decision about what’s right for your hair, your goals and your life — even if that turns out to be nothing.
How to get the most out of itA couple of minutes of prep
Only if you want us to see your hair — if you’re joining to listen, ignore all of this.
- Hair down, dry, and clearly visible
- No hats, buns, ponytails, scarves or clips
- Natural or bright light wherever you can manage it
- A few recent photos handy, in case your camera doesn’t show your texture accurately
- Any questions you’d like answered
Do I need one before I book?No
No. If you already understand the service and feel ready, go ahead and book — every first-time guest gets a thorough in-person consultation before their treatment begins anyway.
Consults are complimentary and by appointment only, and we release a limited number each month, so availability moves around.
One honest limit: we can’t physically examine your hair through a screen, so anything we recommend virtually may be adjusted once we see your hair in person.
