Book SMOOTHED

All booking happens online

Two minutes here and your appointment is set up perfectly.

What you select is what we reserve. Picking your hair type and thickness accurately is how we set aside the right amount of time for you.

Important things you should knowHave a look through — there might be something in here for you
Pick your real hair type and thickness

Booking asks two things: your curl pattern, and how thick your hair is. Both change how much time we set aside. Neither changes what you pay.

Between two? Pick the tighter curl and the thicker option. Extra time we don’t need is always better than being short.

It’s the most common thing people get wrong at booking, and the easiest one to get right.

Turn promotional messages on

It sounds like marketing. It isn’t. That’s the channel your prep instructions travel through before your appointment.

If it’s off, you get none of it. Your booking confirmation still arrives, so everything looks fine, and you turn up without the instructions everyone else had.

There’s also a short form in the app. Booking can’t be completed without it.

Watch for two texts before your appointment

We don’t really send emails. We text. You’ll get two messages from us, and neither is your booking confirmation.

They carry your prep instructions and links you need to open. Open them, and click the links.

Add your haircut when you book

$50 with any Smoothologist, about fifteen minutes. Select it at booking so the time gets reserved.

If the time isn’t on the schedule, it isn’t there to use.

Use the notes to tell us anything

If you’d rather your photos weren’t used on social media, say so there and they stay internal.

Same for scheduling requests or chemical history you’d find easier to write down than say in the chair. We read them.

Do I need a consult first?

No. Every treatment starts with a thorough consultation in the salon.

Why we only book online

Our waitlist runs into the hundreds. Texting back and forth with that many people is how details get missed.

We don’t book through DMs, and we can’t squeeze anyone in.

How the waitlist works

When an appointment cancels, Vagaro texts the people waiting for that exact day and time — not everyone on the list.

So add yourself for every day that would work. Best approach: book the first future appointment that works, then join the waitlist for anything earlier.

If you need to reschedule

Rescheduling happens inside the Vagaro app. Every message we send carries links to confirm, reschedule or cancel.

Book your new appointment before you cancel the old one. We’re booked out far enough that cancelling first can mean waiting three to four months.

How cancellations work

No deposits, and no traditional cancellation fee. What we charge is a rebooking fee, payable only if you want another appointment after a missed or late-cancelled one.

  • Over 48 hrs No fee.
  • 48–24 hrs 50% before rebooking.
  • Under 24 hrs 100% before rebooking.
  • No show 100% before rebooking.

If you never book again, nothing is owed.

If you’re running late

Tell us. That’s the whole ask.

Our clients travel to reach us and a day doesn’t always run to plan — we’ve had people arrive hours late and we will always try to work them back in. What we need is communication when it happens.
