As SMOOTHED continues to grow, I wanted to share an important shift that’s happening behind the chair—and more importantly, why.

Over the past few years, this business has grown in ways I could have never imagined. With that growth has come an incredible influx of new clients—women who are struggling with their hair, looking for real solutions, and needing a high level of customization, care, and problem-solving to get them to a manageable place.

At the same time, a large portion of my schedule has been filled with maintenance appointments for longtime clients who are already in a really healthy, consistent rhythm with their hair.  And while I am so deeply grateful for those clients (this business was built with you), I’ve reached a point where I can no longer do both at the level I want to.

The reality is: maintenance appointments don’t require the same level of hands-on customization that new clients do.  And if I continue to fill my schedule with maintenance, I limit my ability to help new women who are still struggling.

My goal has always been to help as many women as possible experience manageable, low-maintenance hair. And in this next phase of growth, the best way for me to do that is by focusing my time behind the chair on new clients.

WHAT THIS MEANS

Starting July 1st, I will be transitioning to working exclusively with new clients.  New clients will be able to book 1–3 appointments with me so we can fully transform their hair and get them to a strong, healthy, manageable baseline. From there, they will be seamlessly transitioned to my team for ongoing maintenance.

This allows me to open up my chair to more new faces, reach more women, and continue growing the SMOOTHED brand—while still staying behind the chair doing the work I love.

OUR TEAM

I want to be very clear: this transition is only possible because of the team we’ve built.  I have spent years training each stylist at SMOOTHED to be highly skilled, deeply knowledgeable, and fully aligned with our approach to customized keratin treatments.  They are more than capable of taking care of your maintenance appointments with the same level of care, intention, and attention to detail that you’ve come to expect.

IMPORTANT DETAILS

– If you are already booked with me for April or May, your appointment will be honored at my updated pricing.

– If you are not comfortable with the updated pricing, you are always welcome to transfer your appointment to someone on the team.

– Beginning July 1st, maintenance appointments will no longer be available to book with me and will instead be booked directly with the SMOOTHED team.

It’s about expanding the impact of what we’ve built, so that more women can experience the same transformation you already have.
