Taylor is your heavier hitter. If you want maximum strength and the most curl reduction we can safely give you, she’s the one to book. She also works early mornings — the only Smoothologist here outside nine to five.
Jay is our fine-hair specialist, and he’s at his best on complicated, difficult textures where you want the best of both worlds — elongation and versatility, while holding onto as much of your curl pattern as your goals allow.

Most people prefer trimming after smoothing anyway, since the finished length is far easier to judge once the treatment is done.

Keratin on 4C loosens the pattern and cuts your styling time dramatically. It will not leave you bone straight, and it is not a relaxer.
How much curl you keep is a skill question, and it decides who to book. 4C is the last texture a Smoothologist trains on here — our Senior and Master Smoothologists are the only ones who have worked on it.
Want maximum smoothing and you’re not chasing curl retention? Established will do that beautifully. Want to hold onto your pattern? Book a Senior or Kaylie.
We do gray hair all the time and it responds beautifully. One honest caveat: hair without pigment has nothing to hide warmth behind, so a treatment can shift it warmer or more yellow.
It isn’t the keratin — heat on unpigmented hair does that whatever the service. Lower heat means less of it, but a stronger result needs higher heat.
We strongly suggest Fanola No Yellow purple mask afterward. It neutralizes the yellow beautifully. More on gray hair
Color first, keratin second. The other way around strips what we just put in.
Lightened hair is more porous, so the result can read softer. Not a reason not to book — a reason to tell us first.
Tell us what and roughly when, even years ago. Old chemistry stays in the hair.
Get on the waitlist rather than waiting for something to open. Add yourself for every day that would work.
Three to three and a half hours is our average appointment. Plan your day around that rather than the hands-on time.
There’s a stretch of 45 to 75 minutes where your product is processing and your hair needs to be left alone, so there may be points where you’re waiting for your Smoothologist to come back to you. It’s built into the day.
No overtime charge unless yours passes four hours — about 95% of clients pay exactly the rate listed. Please don’t schedule a flight or a childcare cutoff close to your expected finish.
